Asmari ( Stone in Bladder) is a disease produced by the formation or lodging of a stone in the urinary passage. It is also called mutrasmari. (Asmari and mutrasmari are the Sanskrit words)
The signs and symptoms of the disease include severe abdominal pain in the umbilical or urinary bladder region referred to perineal raphe of penis, obstruction to urinary flow due to which patient passes urine drop by drop and with difficulty. The effort to urinate produces intense pain, the pain is aggravated by running, jumping, riding and walking long distance, and blood in the urine are also the symptoms of mutrasmari.
