How to prepare chocolate sauce?



Ingredients: 300 ml milk, 45 grms sugar, 10 grms butter, 30 grms chocolate (block) or 15 grms cocoa, 15 grms cornflour.

Method: Dilute cornflour and cocoa with a little cold milk. Boil remaining milk. Pour gradually over cornflour mixture. Return to the pan. Stir till it starts to boil. Mix in the sugar and butter.

With chocolate: Shred the chocolate. Add to the milk and proceed as above.

Chocolate sauce can also be made using water, chocolate, cornflour, butter, salt, sugar and vanilla essence.

Dissolve chocolate broken into small pieces in 1/2 cup of water, heating gently. Make a smooth creamy mixture of cornflour, salt and remaining cold water. Heat the rest. When it starts boiling, pour over the blended cornflour stirring well. Add the the dissolved chocolate, butter and sugar and cook for 4-5 minutes stirring and beating well. Lastly add a few drops of vanilla. Server with ice-creams, souffles and puddings.
