Sitali Pranayam




Method: Protrude the tongue a little away from the lips. Fold the tongue like a tube lengthwise. Draw in the air through the mouth with a hissing sound ‘SI…’. Retain the breath as long as you can. Then, exhale slowly through the nostrils. Practice this 6 times. You can do this while standing or walking.


Benefits: This Pranayam purifies the blood. It quenches thirst and appeases hunger. It destroys chronic dyspepsia, fever, consumption, indigestion and bilious disorders.
