Nen's Chicken Corn Soup



Required: 1 medium chicken, 1 small piece ginger, 1 can sweet corn, 1 tsp sherry, salt, 1 egg(well  beaten), 1 table spoon cornflour, 2 table spoon cold water, 1/2 mono sodium glutamate (ajinomoto).
Method: simmer the chicken along with the ginger in 6 cups of water for half an hour. Remove boiled chicken and shred the meat. Strin the stock and in a deep pan add sweet corn, sherry, salt and the shredded chicken meat. Cook for 5 minutes. Now, pour the egg and stir. Finally mix the corn flour with water and pour into the soup to chicken. Check for seasoning. Add mono sodium glutamate and serve hot in individual bowls.
